If one partner wants sex once a week and the other wants it once a month, this should be talked about *well* in advance. If a compromise can’t be reached, I’d call off the relationship. “If not, why not?” -See above. I think it’s an excellent idea. “And if not, why should a man marry at all?” – No clue. If I were a male, I would be a MGTOW. I think the unequal marriages that are so common nowadays are bad for men and I’d certainly not be a part of one. “What’s “in it for him” to marry?” -Were I to wed my FwB, we would offer each other plentiful satisfying sex, emotional support, care for each other when ill, shared finances, foot and back massages when we’ve worked overtime, someone to goof off with and make laugh, a trusted friend anything can be shared with, someone who won’t think you’re ‘weak’ for expressing doubt or crying, a sexual partner who is STD free and has no need for birth control pills, someone to spend time with and have meaningful conversations on life/death/politics/religion/sex/etc., and a person to love who loves you in return.
